CHILD SUPPORT

  • HOW MUCH GETS PAID AND WHO PAYS IT
The non-custodial parent (the parent with whom the children do not live) must pay child support to the custodial parent (the parent with whom the children reside).

NO IFS, AND OR BUTS

The amount of child support is set by law. 99% of the time there are no ifs, and or buts about the amount of child support. If you are the non-custodial parent, you MUST PAY the following amount of child support:

(i) seventeen percent of the combined parental income for one child;
(ii) twenty-five percent of the combined parental income for two children;
(iii) twenty-nine percent of the combined parental income for three children;
(iv) thirty-one percent of the combined parental income for four children; and
(v) no less than thirty-five percent of the combined parental income for five or more children.
